Why Aquamation

A gentler, eco-conscious aftercare option.

Aquamation, also called water cremation, uses warm water and natural alkali to gently return the body to its natural elements. It produces no flames, lowers environmental impact, and allows ashes to be returned just like traditional cremation.

Benefits

  • Gentle and respectful process
  • Zero flame emissions
  • Lower energy use
  • About one-tenth the carbon footprint of flame cremation
  • Clean, dignified ashes returned for individual packages
